The Santa Clarita Valley Chapter of Quail & Upland Wildlife Federation is dedicated to preventing the unnecessary decline of upland game and other wildlife. To achieve this, the federation’s chapters organize various habitat outings. During these outings, we focus on maintaining and repairing natural springs or man-made water sources known as “Guzzlers.” These efforts are crucial, especially considering the low rainfall averages and severe seasonal weather (like droughts, extreme cold, or hot periods), which can severely impact the wildlife population due to water scarcity.
Our volunteers possess over 40 years of collective experience in creating and restoring wildlife habitats. They come from diverse backgrounds—some are professionals, while others are regular individuals. However, what unites them is their shared passion for giving back to a recreational activity that has given them so much.
